Chris Ottinger serves as head of worldwide distribution for Amazon MGM Studios Distribution. In this role, he leads the global distribution strategy and operations for Amazon MGM Studios’ broad and exceptional portfolio of television series and feature films; including the off-network distribution of Amazon Original Movies and Original Series, FreeVee Originals Movies and Series, as well as the MGM library of catalog titles and new releases.  Additionally, Ottinger oversees the teams responsible for global home entertainment and transactional distribution (PVOD, EST, TVOD), television distribution (Pay, Basic and Free TV) as well as digital distribution (SVOD, AVOD and Fast Channels), all-rights film sales and ancillary distribution.
 
Titles within Ottinger’s purview include Amazon Original’s such as Coming 2 America, I Want You Back, The Tender Bar, The Tomorrow War, Goliath, Hunters, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, as well as MGM new release and library films and series including the film franchises James Bond, Rocky and Creed, and series The Handmaid’s Tale, Vikings, Fargo, and the upcoming Hotel Cocaine from MGM+.  
 
Prior, Ottinger oversaw worldwide distribution and acquisitions for MGM as president of the division.  Before his role at MGM, Ottinger was executive vice president for Fox World and Fox Television Studios International and senior vice president, business development and co-production at Paramount and CBS. 
 
Ottinger received a BA from the University of California San Diego and holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California.
